Packing and then a looooong day of travel

On Sunday 1st September I was finishing of my packing with some help from Bethany....

Monday 2nd September was flying day! Our flight left at 6:00pm and we didn't have to leave for the airport until 2:00pm so we started our day with breakfast at Bobbin Head (an ice cream and cup cake for Harrison and a croissant for Bethany, nice healthy start).  We then went on a long walk.  On our way back home we spotted an echidna on the road.

On the plane! (And then a coach and then a train....then to Nanny's!!!)

We were dropped at the airport by the lovely Jim, leaving home at 2:00pm  Sydney time Monday afternoon (5:00am Monday morning UK time) and arrived at Nanny's at 1:00pm Tuesday afternoon (10:00pm Sydney time).  Thirty two hours of travel; 2 hours of sleep for the adults, 8 hours of sleep for the children, lots of screens and aeroplane food, two planes, 1 coach, 2 trains and then we arrived at Weston Milton to Nanny's house!  It was so sunny in England and we were so excited to be with Nanny that we went to Weston woods for a walk with Nanny and her dog Maisie.  The day finished with Nanny's lemon meringue pie and a very welcome early night.
