We went to stay with the Newcombes for our last couple of nights in England. By this stage we were pretty tired and fed up of saying goodbye and packing. We were also still recovering from weeks of illness (I'll spare you the gruesome details but we were struck down one by one). It was lovely to be with such caring and helpful friends.
We visited Jon's Gran and the children showed her their magnet book and then Jon and I were brave enough to engage in a game of "quick scrabble" with her. It was good to see her so well.
