We caught the train to Portsmouth for the day. When Mum and Dad first visited us when we lived in Lee on Solent, the Spinnaker Tower was not even half finished…….several years later and they finally got to the top to check out the views of the harbour, the historic dockyards and the city. There’s a part where the floor is “glass” so you can see the ground a looooong way down directly beneath your feet. Harrison loved running across that bit, and all the adults who had their picture taken standing on it that morning had a blur of boy in the background.
