We returned from our weekend away and moved over the next two days. It was all a bit chaotic on Monday and Tuesday as we were between two houses and everything was in boxes. Jon is a packing super star and all was sorted, boxed and ferried back and forth. I was relieved when I was reunited with my underwear and deodorant and had a day off work to pack up and potter and set up our new home.
We've called it our House of Hope. We only have a 6 month lease, and we have no idea what happens next but for now we are safe and happy. Fratchy cat made the move without drama, and Harrison has settled into his "Granny Flat" out the back, linked to us by a baby monitor. We back onto the bush at the end of a cul de sac, we have a surprising amount of room, so much lawn that we need a ride on mower or a goat and a shed to keep lots of boxes in.
