We needed a good breakfast for all our adventuring on day 3 of our holiday.
With a compass and a map we explored the Ophir Reserve and panned for gold. Harrison was enthusiastic in use of the compass, and climbing across obstacles. We didn't find any gold, although Jon put his wedding ring in the pan to have the fun of a glimmer of the precious metal.
Surprisingly our noisy scrambling didn't scare away this echidna!
We did get a tooth! Bethany's first tooth came out while we were at the Orange art gallery.
It was very dark in the caves, lit only by my flash or the glow sticks we brought.
We all scrambled to the top, with dusty hands and knees!
We enjoyed the autumn colours of Cook Park
More spectacular colours in the sunset back at the farm.
