Lego and other creativity

In April last year Harrison received a lego X wing star fighter from Nanny.  He and Jon made it, and he played with it.  Then he took it apart and used its pieces with other pieces to create the lego creations that have this habit of not remaining on their special lego shelf but take over the house.  Worse even than half made creations are the tiny but essential pieces that drop and are forever being put into the many lego containers I have for this purpose.

This month Jon and Harrison decided to rebuild the X wing. This involved taking all other lego creations apart, retrieving all assorted lego from holding containers and sorting it.  AMAZINGLY all pieces were located and it was re-created!!!!  Lego a go go!!!!

Here is the wind chime Bethany made with the craft kit Aunty Lyn sent her.

I came home from taking Bethany to a party to discover that Jon and Harrison had made banana bread, a slushie by putting ice cubes in the food processor and this weather reporter from the craft book.  They were playing indoor hand ball to finish up the morning.  Pretty busy Father Son time!
