On Sunday it was very sunny and warm and we took advantage of "Family Fun Day" tickets to catch the train to Milson's Point and then the ferry to Circular Quay.
Our ferry at Circular Quay
From the Quay we wandered to the Opera House. We have a photo of Harrison and me here when he was a baby.
Just across from the Opera House are the Botanic Gardens. We visited Government House, as close to an historic house as you get in Sydney. The Gardens on the Harbour are beautiful, and the lack of "culture" is compensated for by the warmth of the sunshine in winter.
In one direction the harbour....in the other the city skyscrapers. Tucked in between two of those towers is the building where I work....
.....in another direction this is part of my jogging route through the gardens and around the harbour. Is a very scenic jog!
Bethany found the pink flowers.......but I liked the sun shining through the stalks on the pond.
Noisy, smelly wild life. Are they fruit bats? Flying foxes? I can never remember.
More wildlife....a kookaburra. It's wasn't laughing, perhaps it didn't like Bethany's rendition of "Kookaburra sits in the old gum tree"
Taken as we sailed under the bridge back to Milson's Point.
Daddy cuddle on the platform on the way home after fish and chips at Milson's Point. Just dark at 5:30pm and no coats!
