We went on a steam train from Maitland to Newcastle (that's Newcastle just north of Sydney, not Newcastle in the North of UK). It was part of Harrison's birthday celebrations.
Our seats were just behind this part of the back of the train.
The interior of the train was beautiful, lots of lovely polished wood. Harrison was most interested in the switches (for the lights).
We passed some loooooooooooong goods trains and lost count of all the trucks. Harrison took a long and very boring video of one ;)

We remembered catching a steam train on the Watercress line in Hampshire and felt a little homesick. Hello David and Mary! We thought lots about you!
