Weald & Downland with Nanny and Newcombes

This is the beautiful Weald and Downland open air museum. On Sat 6th November we had a lovely Autumnal day out with Nanny and the Newcombes.

On previous visits Harrison slipped into the pond, but this time managed to stay in the tree.

Despite the dark clouds in this photo we had lots of sunshine.

The Autumn leaves were beautiful.

We were not exactly sure of the purpose of this old piece of farming equipment, but Bethany and Joshua showed great interest in it...

.... Harrison stepped in to show them how it was done....

....but Joshua didn't need much instruction and was sure it was his turn!

Harrison loved exploring all the cottages. Fiona and I kept being thankful for modern houses and central heating.

Nanny's dog Maisey enjoyed the great outdoors with us.
