Bethany Rose Baker was born Tuesday 14th October 2008 at 7:37am. She was a surprise! We were expecting a long thin boy (simply because that was our only experience!) and she was a short(er) big girl, (8lbs 4, 49 cm). We are absolutely thrilled and grateful to God for his goodness to us.
We were blessed with a wonderful hospital close by, and lovely midwife and a newly refurbished maternity ward.
Our amazing friend Karen was on "Harrison alert" and we had to call her at 3:00am on Tuesday morning. Apparently when she went into Harrison when he woke up he accepted his surprise and did not ask for us at all! He came to visit Heather and Bethany in the afternoon. He was more interested in the curtains separating the beds than anything else. He recieved a Bob the Builder balloon and waved it in Bethany's face, asking her, "Can you say hello to Bob the Builder?" He then tried to interest her in his new helicopter. So far she has survived his affections....
