Harrison loves books. He loves turning the pages and reading to himself. He loves being read to. He loves sitting in his book box. If we leave some books in his cot he will spend the first half hour or so after he wakes turning the pages. I've learnt not to put in books that squeak or play tunes.
We've had some warm days in Chichester. We went to visit the O'Sheas and played in their paddling pool. If you can't figure out which is Harry and which is Matthew, my son has the big belly and the orange nappy!
We have had two of the new services and they have gone well. Jon was encouraged by some of the older people from church coming and being supportive. We sang an Aussie children's song on Sunday and in the days that followed I had to explain some of the lyrics. In Australia we say someone "spat their dummy out" whereas in England people "throw their toys out of their pram". It caused some confusion when we sang Colin Buchanan's song "Don't Bop them on the head" one line of which is "If you go the dummy spit the Lord will not be pleased with it!"
We're waiting to see if anyone comes back this Sunday....
